Official Sweepstakes Rules

 For persons who participate in The Golden Ticket Giveaway on the site http://www.lifesgoldenticket.com/gifts, these rules govern all aspects of participation and prize award. All entrants must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules.

All entries have an equal chance of winning.

No Purchase Necessary.
A purchase of the book Life's Golden Ticket is not required to enter the sweepstakes, and a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. To enter the sweepstakes without ordering the book, simply leave the "Order #" field blank on the online entry form posted on http://www.lifesgoldenticket.com/gifts, or follow the alternate entry process in the "Alternate Entry" section below. However, to receive the two free tickets to Brendon Burchard's Life's Golden Ticket Super Seminar as promoted on the site, or any of the bonuses listed, you must order a book and  enter your order number in the entry form as instructed.

Sponsor and Administrator.
The 2008 Golden Ticket Giveaway (“Sweepstakes”) is hosted, sponsored and administered by The Burchard Group LLC (the “Administrator”), 2269 Chestnut Street #172, San Francisco, CA 94123. Correspondence can be sent to this address or to info@lifesgoldenticket.com. The Sweepstakes is exclusively hosted by Administrator and is no way affiliated, administered, sponsored or promoted by the prize contributors listed on the sweepstakes entry page nor HarperCollins Publishers or their affiliates, subsidiaries, assigns, attorneys, representatives and agents, including advertising, publishing, promotion and fulfillment agencies.

Entry Period.
The Sweepstakes begins January 22nd, 2008 at 12:00 a.m. U.S. Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends February 22nd, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. PT (“Sweepstakes Period”). Administrator's computer is the official time keeping device for this Sweepstakes.

Eligibility.
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents over the age of 18 in the United States, except for residents of New York, Florida, and Rhode Island where participation is prohibited. Void where prohibited. Employees, officers and directors of the Administrator, any prize or downloadable bonus contributors, their respective related companies, franchisees and agents, as well as the immediate family (defined as parents, spouse, children, siblings and grandparents) and household members of each such employee, officer and director are not eligible to enter. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. By participating, entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrator, which are final and binding in all respects.

How to Enter.
The entry process for the Sweepstakes takes place through the Administrator’s website, http://www.LifesGoldenTicket.com/gifts (the "Entry Page"), and the Administrator is solely responsible for the functionality of the Entry Page. During the Sweepstakes Period, visit the Entry Page and follow the instructions to complete the online registration form (the "Entry Form"). Reminder: A purchase of the book (Life's Golden Ticket) is not required to enter the sweepstakes, and a purchase will not increase your chances of winning. To enter the sweepstakes without ordering the book, simply leave the "Order #" field blank on the Entry Form. However, to receive the two free tickets to Brendon Burchard's Life's Golden Ticket Super Seminar as promoted on the site, or any of the bonuses listed, you must order a book and  enter your order number in the Entry Form as instructed. . Once you complete the Entry Form and press submit, you will automatically be entered into the Sweepstakes.  You will also receive a follow-up email, sent from info@lifesgoldenticket.com, with directions for accessing the free bonuses listed on the Entry Page.

Limit: Each entrant may fill out the Entry Form and receive one (1) entry only during the Sweepstakes Period. Multiple entries are not permitted. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, or registrations will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to enter will result in disqualification. Administrator is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected registrations, which will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any online entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder (the person who signed up for the email addresses from the domain associated with the submitted address).

Alternate Entry.
To enter the sweepstakes without ordering a copy of Life's Golden Ticket, simply fill out the Entry Form located on the Entry Page and do NOT enter an order number in the "Order #" field. If you would rather not enter online, you can send a stamped 4"x6" postcard with your hand-printed first name, last name, home telephone number, email address, telephone number, and physical mailing address to "The Golden Ticket Giveaway," c/o The Burchard Group LLC, 2269 Chestnut Street #172, San Francisco, CA 94123. All postcards MUST have the complete information required, including the entrants first name, last name, home telephone number, email address, and physical mailing address or they will be disqualified. Those who enter by alternate entry consent to participate and grant the Administrator the right to obtain, use, and transfer your name, address & other information for administration and future communication use. Administrator is not responsible for lost, incomplete, illegible, late, misdirected, stolen, postage-due, or mutilated entries or mail. Mail-in entries must be postmarked before the end of the Sweepstakes Period, February 22nd, 2008, and must be received by February 29th, 2008, to qualify. Limit one postcard entry per person; multiple postcard entries by the same person will be disqualified. All entries become property of the Administrator.

ALL POTENTIAL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY THE ADMINISTRATOR, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE SWEEPSTAKES. An entrant is not a winner of any prize, even if the Sweepstakes drawing should so indicate, unless and until entrant’s eligibility has been verified and entrant has been notified that verification is complete.

Sweepstakes and Prize Drawing.
Winners will be selected by the Administrators from amongst all eligible entried received during the Sweepstakes Period by means of random drawings conducted on or about 3/15/2008. The potential prize winners will be notified by mail or email within thirty (30) days of the drawing conducted at the conclusion of the Sweepstakes Period. Except where prohibited, each potential winner of a prize must sign and return to Administrator, within seven (7) days of being notified, an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release in order to claim his/her prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release within the required time period, or a prize or prize letter is returned as undelivered, potential winner forfeits prize. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Administrator, at its sole discretion, will return the prize to the prize contributor or award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.

Offer of Free Tickets to Brendon Burchard's Life's Golden Ticket Super Seminar.
The first 500 participants to order Brendon Burchard's book from Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com, and to enter their order number on the Entry Form on the Entry Site will receive a certificate via email good for two (2) free admission tickets to Brendon Burchard's Life's Golden Ticket Super Seminar. The Super Seminar will be held in Los Angeles from September 26-28th, 2008. Additional dates and venues may be added. The certificate, and further dates and details will be emailed to those who qualified by April 1st, 2008 . Note: An order number is required to receive the  bonuses listed on the Entry Site and the free admission to Brendon Burchard's Life's Golden Ticket Super Seminar (for the first 500 to participate as described above), but no purchase is necessary to enter or win the Sweepstakes.

Sweepstakes Prize Detail. 

In total, there will be 44 randomly selected prize winners, each of whom will win one and only one of the prizes listed on the Entry Page. Limit: One (1) entry per person and one prize per winner.

FOR ALL PRIZES: Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and other fees associated with prize receipt and use. No other substitution, assignment or transfer of prizes permitted, except by The Administrator, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of greater or equal value if prize cannot be awarded as stated. Odds of winning a Sweepstakes prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. All prizes are not transferable, and are not redeemable for cash. Where required, winners receiving a prize valued at US$600 or more will be issued a 1099-tax form for the ARV of such prize. All ARV estimates below are in US Dollars. Limit: One (1) entry per person and one prize per winner.

FOR ALL PRIZES THAT INCLUDE FREE SEMINAR OR EVENT TICKETS: Winners of seminar tickets will be notified via email by the Administrator, and the Administrator will electronically register the winner for the seminar should they accept the prize. Additional dates and details may be mailed or communicated to the winner by the event promoter or organizer. Free seminar tickets are inclusive of only free tuition to the seminar, and do NOT include transportation expenses or any other expenses the winner may incur while traveling to or attending the seminar. All free seminar tickets are awarded to winners with the understanding that admission to the event requires agreement with all the terms and conditions stipulated by these Official Rules, and by any additional terms and conditions stipulated by the event promoter or organizer. 

ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: One grand prize winner will be selected in the Grand Prize drawing amongst all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period by means of one random drawing conducted on or about 3/15/2008. The Grand Prize winner will receive a 4day/3night trip for two, traveling roundtrip coach-class airfare from a major airport nearest the winner’s home (determined by Administrator in its sole discretion) via one airline provider (multiple providers prohibited) to a major city in the world of the winner's choice within two stops of the departing airport. The prize includes a three night stay at a hotel in the winner's selected destination city, with the hotel accommodations determined by Administrator in its sole discretion (one single room with two beds, double occupancy) as well as ground transportation to and from airport and hotel (following arrival or preceding departure only). Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $3,500, which may vary depending on the location of winner’s residence, airline fluctuations, dates of travel, and distance between departure, destination, and accommodations. Winners must complete the trip awarded to them within one (1) year from the drawing date or by April 1st, 2009 (whichever comes first) or prize will be forfeited. Winner and guests must travel together on the same itinerary. Trip must be booked through the Administrator at least 120 days prior to departure. Travel and accommodations are subject to availability and certain restrictions; blackout periods may apply and winner may not be able to travel on the dates they desire. Travel must be roundtrip. Administrator will determine airline, flight itinerary, accommodations and all travel details in its sole discretion. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Sweepstakes, and those set forth by the Administrator’s airline carrier of choice as detailed in the passenger ticket contract. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the package description above, including but not limited to additional ground transportation, insurance, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses are the responsibility solely of winner. If any guests are under the age of eighteen (18), winner must be guest’s parent/ legal guardian who is at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Grand Prize winners and guests (or parent/legal guardian if guest is a minor) must execute a Release of Liability/Publicity Release Form (unless prohibited by law) prior to the issuance of travel documents. All travelers must possess required travel documents (e.g. valid photo I.D. or passport) prior to bookings and departures. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. If in the judgment of Administrator air travel is not required due to winner’s proximity to prize location, ground transportation will be substituted for roundtrip air travel at The Administrator’ sole discretion. Administrator will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates, or baggage or personal property. Administrator and all of respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents shall have no liability and will be held harmless by Entrants for any liability, loss, injury or damage to participants or any other person or entity, including personal injury or death to participants or any other person or damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of Entrant’s or participation in this sweepstakes, the use of any Entry or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize and any travel or activity related thereto. By accepting a travel prize, the winner and his/her guest represent that they understand that travel, regardless of mode of transport, contains some inherent element of risk of accident, illness, injury, loss or death, which may be caused by negligence, forces of nature, or other agencies, known or unknown. Travel prize winners and their guests represent that they recognize that such risks may be present at any time before, during and after the trip and agree to hold Administrator harmless for any injury, regardless of severity of injury.

OTHER PRIZES: All prizes are listed below by the headline used on the Sweepstakes entry site. The prizes are subject to these Official Rules and any terms and conditions listed in their descriptions below, and any terms and conditions stipulated by the prize contributor.
